The privacy of your data is a big deal to us! In this policy, we lay out (in plain English) what data we collect and why; your rights to your data; and, some of the 3rd-party processors we use to manage data. We promise to never sell your data to 3rd parties.

Scale to $1 Million is a small business training platform and community. You are currently on our website. Our website address is: We offer courses, an online community, and live events for small business owners across the nation.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Identity & Use

When you visit Scale to $1 Million, we log your IP address, device, geolocation, and the pages you visited while active on the website. This information is stored on our own servers using secure software and not a 3rd party processor like Google Analytics.

Membership Accounts

When you sign-up to join Scale to $1 Million, we collect your first name, last name, email, and billing address. We use this information to create a unique profile in our system, and we use your billing address to properly calculate taxes for your location. You may optionally provide additional information, including business name, business website, social media links, your profile photo, and a cover photo. No account is required to provide this additional information. We also collect your progress completing a course and your posts, comments, and activity in our online community network (“Main St. Network”). We also host any other information you voluntarily provide in the Main St. Network, such as documents or media.

Affiliate Account

As an affiliate, we collect your first name, last name, email, billing address, and payment email. As a registered affiliate, you are required to submit a W9 form which includes sensitive tax information. This tax information is never stored in readable digital databases, only in secure storage programs. This tax data is never directly associated with your account on Scale to $1 Million. You are additionally required to submit payout information, but we do not store that data. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information. Login cookies last for two days.

If you are visiting from an affiliate link, we also install cookies to track your activity on the site and properly make commissions to our affiliate partners. These affiliate cookies expire after 15 days, unless reactivated by another visit from an affiliate link.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

When we access or share your data

Our default practice is to not access your information. The only times we’ll ever access or share your info are:

  • To provide products or services you’ve requested. We do use some third-party services to run our applications and only to the extent necessary process some or all of your personal information via these third parties. Having subprocessors means we are using technology to access your data. No human looks at your data for these purposes. We also use some other processors for other business functions, which you can view below.
  • To help you troubleshoot, with your permission. If at any point we need to access your account to help you with a Support case, we will ask for your consent before proceeding.
  • To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding restricted uses. Accessing a customer’s account when investigating potential abuse is a measure of last resort. We have an obligation to protect the privacy and safety of both our customers and the people reporting issues to us. We do our best to balance those responsibilities throughout the process. If we do discover you are using our products for a restricted purpose, we will report the incident to the appropriate authorities.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. This data, and the anonymized analytics data, for now is retained indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, have visited and know your IP address, or have otherwise interacted with Scale to $1 Million, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legal or security purposes.

3rd Party Processors

We use 3rd party processors to assist in the function of this site. Namely, we use Stripe to process payments for our memberships. Your payment information never enters or crosses our servers. Additionally, we use AffiliateWP’s Payout Service to process payments to affiliates.
